4. Required procedures

The following people need to apply for payment certification (benefit certification).

For those who have applied for benefit kindergarten, nursery school, certified childcare center, small-scale childcare business, on-site childcare business, and home-based childcare business, and have already been certified, no new procedure is required. ..

What is the certification of the need for childcare?

If you are unable to take care of your child at home during the day due to work or illness of a guardian, you can be certified.

To be certified, there are requirements such as working at least 64 hours a month.

For details, please contact the Children and Family Affairs Division of each ward health and welfare center.

General

Question 1: What are 3-year-olds, 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds, and 5-year-olds?

A: A 3-year-old is a 3-year-old child (a child who turns 4 on his birthday) as of April 1.

A 3-year-old child is a child who will reach the age of 3 on or after April 2nd.

Question 2: I will be 3 years old in the middle of the year. Is it eligible for free of charge?

A: It depends on the facility and business you use.

Kindergarten and certified child institution (No. 1) are eligible when entering the kindergarten as a 3-year-old child.

Nursery centers and unlicensed childcare facilities are not eligible.

However, households exempt from residence tax are eligible. For details , please check the target list for each year-old child .

Question 3: I’m an older child in kindergarten, and I’m 6 years old on my birthday in the middle of the year. Is it eligible for free of charge?

Answer: Applicable until March 31st, the first birthday.

Question 4: I am using a kindergarten outside the city. Is it eligible for free of charge?

Answer: Applicable. Please contact the kindergarten for the procedure.

Question 5: I have been certified as needing childcare and am using an unlicensed childcare facility and family support center. Is it eligible for free of charge?

Answer: Applicable. The total amount of money used by unlicensed childcare facilities and the Family Support Center is up to 37,000 yen (42,000 yen for children aged 0 to 2 who are exempt from residence tax).

Question 6: If I use a licensed nursery school and a family support center, are both eligible for free?

A: The portion used by the Family Support Center is not eligible for free of charge. Those who are eligible for free of charge for non-licensed daycare facilities are those who do not use licensed daycare centers.

Question 1: I go to kindergarten. Is there any procedure?

Answer: The procedure is after the kindergarten is decided or after entering the kindergarten. If you haven’t completed the procedure yet, or if you have moved in from outside the city, please contact the kindergarten.

Question 2: I go to a nursery school and an early childhood center. Is there any procedure?

A: If you are currently using a licensed nursery school, an authorized childcare center, a small-scale childcare business, an on-site childcare business, or a home-based childcare business, you do not need to take any procedures to make it free of charge.

Question 3: I am using childcare at a kindergarten or an early childhood school (No. 1). Do I need to take any procedures?
