About the Koch phenomenon

Within 7 days after inoculation, redness / swelling at the inoculation site and suppuration at the inoculation site may occur. This is called the Koch phenomenon (suspicion of the Koch phenomenon).
The Koch phenomenon can occur if your child has had tuberculosis.
If you suspect that the Koch phenomenon is occurring, please contact the Infectious Disease Control Division of the Health Center.
