Since July 2018, the number of rubella patients has been increasing, especially in the Kanto region, and the majority of patients are men in their 30s to 50s. Of these, the males born between April 2, 1958 and April 1, 1979 are the generation who have never had the opportunity to receive official vaccination against wind rash, and the antibody prevalence rate is also high. Women and other generations account for about 90%, while men of that generation are as low as about 80%.
In view of this situation, as a nationwide system, men born between April 2, 1958 and April 1, 1979 are subject to routine rubella vaccination (Rubella 5th term). I decided to provide an opportunity to receive one official vaccination.
In Chiba City as well, those born during the above period will first be tested for rubella antibodies , and as a result, those with low rubella antibody titers will be vaccinated against rubella. (Both antibody test and vaccination are free).

Implementation method
First of all, you will be asked to undergo a “rubella antibody test”, and as a result, if you have a low antibody titer (*) and need to be vaccinated against rubella, you will be asked to carry out a “rubella vaccination”.
(*) Those who are 8 times or less by the HI method, etc.
As a result of the rubella antibody test, “rubella vaccination” will not be carried out for those who have high antibody titers and do not need to be vaccinated.
Rubella antibody test
(1 ) Among the target persons, those born between April 2, 1972 and April 1, 1979 will be on May 31, 1972, and from April 2, 1958 to 1972. For those born before April 1, 2014, coupons will be shipped on May 11, 2nd year of Reiwa .

(2 ) Be sure to bring a coupon and a document that can confirm your identity and address (driver’s license, etc.) and undergo a rubella antibody test (blood sampling) at a medical institution.

・ Those who have been found to have a sufficient amount of rubella antibody as a result of conducting a rubella antibody test after April 2014 do not need to perform another antibody test this time (no rubella vaccination is required). ).
