  • The doctor has diagnosed that there is no or very little chance of becoming pregnant depending on the treatment other than the specific fertility treatment.

Male infertility treatment

Surgery to collect sperm from the testis or epididymis, which is performed as part of specific infertility treatment, is targeted (however, it is not applicable when the treatment stage is “C”).

  • Reiwa 3rd year is applicable when specific infertility treatment is performed using sperm collected and frozen in male infertility treatment after April 1, 2nd year of Reiwa.
  • As a general rule, we do not subsidize only male infertility treatment. However, if male infertility treatment is performed before egg collection but sperm cannot be obtained or sperm in good condition cannot be obtained and treatment is discontinued, the subsidy will be applied. In that case, the requirement is that the wife’s age be less than 43 years old, and the number of applications is counted as one.
